Bob Tommey

Bob Tommey doesn't like to talk about himself, so the Gallery is preparing this biographical sketch. This is a quiet, unassuming, soft spoken man, but one should really listen to what he has to say.

Any professional artist of any notoriety at all speaks highly of Bob Tommey. Bob started painting in High School and considers himself to be self taught. Since then, he has taught many other artists - some of whom are now famous in their own right.

He is the driving force behind the "Gathering of the Artists". Once a year, artists from all over the country come to Carthage, Missouri for a two day show and auction. Debi and I recently enjoyed being his guests at the 25th Gathering - (an experience to remember).

Bob is responsible for turning western art into a legitimate fine art. This genius with brushes and oils, has been a mountain man and a rodeo rider.

This man is nationally known as the premier western artist. Do yourself a favor - own at least one Bob Tommey painting.
