Debbie Reed
Debbie Reed, born in Lubbock, Texas, has been a Joplin, Missouri native for the last 22 years. After receiving her R.N., B.S.N. from the University of Nebraska, she recently obtained a second degree in studio art from Missouri Southern State College.
A love of art has always dominated her life, and in her work Debbie strives to incorporate her concern for the environment with a universal sense of spirituality. Watercolors and oils are favorite mediums, but Debbie also enjoys mixed media projects. She is well known for her watercolor collages.
Numerous awards and several Best of Show presentations have conferred upon her work in the mid-west. Debbie is a member of the Missouri Watercolor Society; Spiva Art Center, Joplin, Missouri; Art Forum, Joplin, Missouri; Art Central, Carthage, Missouri and an associate member of the American Watercolor Society.
