I sculpt original, one of a kind dolls in polymer clay and wood including the all wood Hitty dolls and old fashioned wooden dolls with leather bodies. My polymer clay dolls have needle sculpted cloth bodies and range from twelve inch portrait dolls of children to life-sized Santa figures. My caricature dolls often have gourds for bodies, and they will bring a smile to your face. I strive to create expressive sculptures that let the viewer share the feelings I felt when I creating them.
As a first grade teacher, time for art is limited. But by having another occupation that I love, and that pays my bills; I have had more freedom to create without the constraints necessitated by having to produce what will sell. What you see here is a sharing of joy.
